Review of Something Like Home:
Laura is sent to live with her aunt while her parents are hospitalized. Laura misses her parents and desperately wants to go back home to live with them. She feels awkward around her aunt and misses her friends back home too. Laura rescues a dog abandoned on the side of the road. She decides to train the dog to be a therapy dog, so she can bring the dog to the hospital and visit her parents. This story is sad but also hopeful. It reminds us that families can come in all shapes in sizes.
