Callie’s mother was killed in a car accident. Her family is falling apart. One day Callie sees her mother wearing the same clothes she was wearing when she died. Next to her mother is a big shaggy dog. When Callie tries to tell her family about seeing her mother, nobody believes her. Callie stops talking completely. She never talks at home or at school. This starts to cause lots of problems for her. However, she continues to see her mom and the big shaggy dog! Callie starts to think that this dog is special, and is somehow connected to her mom.
