James and the Giant Peach has really interesting characters: a bunch of giant talking insects and one fairly ordinary boy named James. The setting for the book is also amazing. The insects and James live in a giant peach! The insects and peach were a nifty bit of magic, to try and save James from his two horrible aunts. You will cheer on James as he escapes his aunts and goes on many adventures with his new family of insects!
